About Khoisan Hessequa Skills Development

KHSD is driven towards bringing the South African skills Development community/Globally and beneficiaries’ closer together and making opportunities more accessible for everyone.

Education is the basis of everybody’s development and continues throughout life, as more youths enter a highly competitive labour market looking for limited job opportunities, we aim to help make the journey easier with linking the needs of business, educators, learners and South African labour force.

Due to the increasing unemployment rate, it is critical to ensure Skills Development opportunities and strategies are constantly being identified and made available to allow for developing the South African economy and increasing the earning potential for all.

Another goal of KHSD is to attempt to bring all relevant information and industry stakeholders together to form better partnerships, and gain access to information and resources to implement skills development in South Africa more effectively.

As KHSD has a primary goal of providing an all-inclusive, accommodating platform for skills development to best address the requirements of the industry, but should not be a standalone platform for skills development only, as skills development is a priority to address the unemployment rate and competitiveness of business. KHSD strives to address the post training need of employment and job creation by providing a space where the public sector, private sector, training bodies and training beneficiaries can interact.

Stakeholders

• Authorities

  • These are public institutions set up by SA government & the State of Birland Government in order to address specific needs in the country. These are large role players in the offering initiatives such as funding for training and quality assurance. Various information and research is provided by these institutes as well as handle processes around compliance matters.

• Skills Development Providers

  • Training institutes are organisations that offer training services and usually accredited by education authorities. These drive the learner development process and need to be fully accessible to the learners demanding their services. KHSD aims to it easy for the Skills Development Providers to market their services and learners to easily access these services offered.

• Training Support Bodies

  • This is a broad user group offers support and needs and services of the training industry and general business. This can be categories as individual free-lance agents, or registered companies that can provide the sought after services. These include services such as

  • BB-BEE Agencies and Consultancies

  • Accreditation assistance and Training material development

• Employers

  • South African business needs to stay complaint and innovative in order to be competitive. KHSD aims to allow organisations to address issues such as staff training, skills gap analysis and partnerships with other users to address skills requirements. Our goal is to make the process of planning, implementing and recruiting for learnerships, internships, entry level positions easier and more beneficial to all users.

• Learners

  • Learners are beneficiaries of training. Finding training that best suits personal needs can be difficult and time consuming, KHSD aims to make the process of linking learners to training providers as effortless as possible in order to gain access to post education opportunities sooner. Once the learning process has been completed via a training institute these newly acquired skills need to be utilised to gain economic benefit. Individuals generally require assistance with this step of the journey into their career. KHSD aims to make it easier to find the opportunities and programmes that will drive them forward to achieve their goals.
